About the Jazz Forum
Westchester's Premier Jazz Club
On June 9th, 2017 Mark Morganelli and his wife, Ellen Prior opened the Jazz Forum as the only dedicated Jazz club in Westchester County, New York. This 90-seat weekend-only live music venue is an intimate listening room with a warm and welcoming mood, affordable ticket prices and clear sightlines from all seats. The Jazz Forum was launched with sold-out performances by the Roy Hargrove Quintet and has been presenting internationally renowned and master musicians to enthralled audiences, including “regulars” and newcomers every week since the opening. One patron commented, “There are gods among us! The talent is inspiring to see performed and heard live!”
The club presents headline Jazz artists on Friday and Saturday nights. We also host Brazilian, Latin and jazz groups on Sundays, and monthly jam sessions. With a Steinway classic grand piano, hand-crafted walnut bar, informal dinner and full bar menu, separate lounge and pool room, and contemporary art gallery, fans have draped the club with love.
Well before its first anniversary, the club has been an astonishing success, “… becoming a local (no, regional!) treasure.” It is now the affordable alternative to NYC clubs for music lovers from New Jersey, Rockland County, Connecticut as well as across Westchester as a “wonderful new addition to the New York area Jazz scene.”
Musicians are spreading the word about the club. They revel in the love, positive energy and rapt attention of patrons, and their delight is expressed in the joy with which the play and their easy communication with the audience. They often refer to the space as feeling like they are “playing in Mark’s living room.” Audiences can talk with the artists before and between sets, take selfies with them and get autographed CDs in the pool room.
All these accolades far exceed the enthusiasm we imagined as we began this adventure, especially within such a short time of opening!
Fridays and Saturdays
Headline jazz artists perform on Friday and Saturday nights (two sets each night at 7 and 9:30 pm).
We feature a different band each Sunday, fantastic Brazilian, Latin and jazz music groups. There will be one set at 4 pm and one at 6 pm.
For all shows, there is a $10 minimum in food or drinks per person/per set.
We have secured parking in the adjacent parking lot, behind CVS as well as at two nearby locations (Key Bank & Chase employee parking lots), reserved exclusively for Jazz Forum patrons during weekend club hours.
Tax Status of Club
Jazz Forum will operate as a program of Jazz Forum Arts, a 501(c)3 non-profit arts presenting organization founded in 1985. As such, donations to the club are tax-deductible.
