Salina: How did you come to play the drums?

Louis Hayes: My father played piano and drums, so he was the one who introduced me to this instrument. First piano, then I played the drums. I was maybe seven or eight. And I had my mother’s support.

Salina: What would you like to say to your fans? 

Louis Hayes: I’ve enjoyed playing this instrument and playing this art form for all these years and I hope to keep going. Just not so much at this point, but I’m enjoying myself now. I hope people keep coming out and supporting this art form.

Salina: What do you think about the club?

Louis Hayes: This is my first time here. I’ve known Mark Morganelli for a long period of time and have enjoyed all the different places that he’s had over the years.
